Consultant found guilty in murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee

Nima Momeni has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of fintech luminary Bob Lee. Momeni, an IT consultant and entrepreneur, could face a sentence of 16 years to life in prison. Lee, best known as the creator and founder of Cash App, was stabbed to death in San Francisco in April 2023. Momeni was arrested as a suspect nine days later.

The autopsy report showed that Lee was under the influence of cocaine, alcohol and ketamine at the time of his death. He was with Momeni and his sister Khazar Momeni that night. Prosecutors argued that Mr. Momeni attacked Lee in the street after he learned that a colleague of Lee had drugged and attacked Ms. Momeni. Momeni’s legal team said he acted in self-defense and was not aware that Lee had been injured in their altercation.

Most recently, Lee was chief product officer of cryptocurrency operation MobileCoin. He previously held an executive position at Square and played a role in developing the Android mobile operating system at Google.

Of course, not everyone wants a MacBook, and there are also great Windows laptops and Chromebooks out there. Windows systems offer a variety of configurations, from budget to high-end UHD screens with stunning IPS panels that boast high nits for excellent brightness.

Chromebooks, on the other hand, are more affordable and are great for users who work mostly online. Whether you need a powerhouse for creative work, a compact system for note taking, or a laptop that can handle movie night with the family, there’s something for everyone in today’s laptop market.

The latest MacBook Air ticks a lot of boxes: not only is it our top pick for the best laptop available right now, but we also consider it the best laptop for college students and the best MacBook for most people. Apple hasn’t changed much in the latest version, but that’s to be expected since the previous entry was the most significant redesign in nearly a decade.

The new 13-inch MacBook Air has a faster M3 chip, as well as the ability to run dual external monitors (but only with the lid closed) and support for Wi-Fi 6E. There’s also a fingerprint-free finish for the black “Midnight” model that actually works!

It’s hard to improve on a laptop we previously considered nearly perfect, but a new chip certainly helps. The M3 processor is about 20 percent faster than the M2 for both single-core and multi-core tasks, and it offers a significant GPU bump, along with support for real-time ray tracing.

Battery life remains best in class, with enough power to last you several work days without a charger.

It has one of the best keyboards we’ve ever seen in a laptop – it’s surprisingly tactile and responsive – and the trackpad is huge and smooth to the touch. Even the speakers are much better than what you’ll find on other systems.

The only major drawback against the MacBook Air is that it only has a MagSafe charging port and two USB-C connectors on its left side. That makes charging a little tricky if your plug only reaches the right side of the machine. But, at least it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find in ultra-thin notebooks these days.
